Lost the distinction of fortified structure, the building later became Colonial - Villa: a pleasant residence of the belligerent, as stated in the Latin phrase found on the arch entrance, dating back to 1770:
“ VIVITVR HEIC CASTE, HEIC PALLAS SVA MVNERA PRAESTAT. HEIC PAX, HEIC REQVIES, HEIC TIBI POMA, SALVS. ”
(“ HERE WE LIVE HONESTLY. PALLAS HERE MAKES HIS GIFTS, HERE YOU WILL FIND THE PEACE, RELAX, FRUITS AND HEALTH ”).
In addition to this ancient inscription, during the careful restoration work of the building we discovered others, always in Latin, dating back to the eighteenth century and even before.
